Abiodun Fawunmi – Chairman
Abiodun Fawunmi is a highly experienced technology expert who, in his professional career, has led multi-cultural professional teams to high levels of effectiveness in a variety of competitive industries and fast-paced environments. Armed with strong technical and business qualifications, Abiodun has created an impressive track record of more than 30 years of hands-on experience in strategic planning, business unit development and resource management.
He holds a Master of Science (Computation) Degree from the Victoria University of Manchester; and a BSc in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Ife. Abiodun is the Chairman of CWG Plc and the Chairman of GENCOM. He has also played significant roles in multi-national organizations such as Price Waterhouse Coopers and Coca-Cola. Between 2004 and 2011, he was the Head of Infrastructure Services Section (MTIT Division) at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.
He is currently the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Information Technology Services Section of the United Nations Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda
Austin Okere – Vice-Chairman
Austin Okere is the Founder & Vice Chairman, CWG Plc and Entrepreneur in Residence, Columbia Business School, New York. He is a member of the World Economic Forum Business Council on Innovation and Intrapreneurship. He serves on the Board of the National Competiveness Council of Nigeria and Initiative for Global Development, a Washington based nonprofit organization that drives poverty reduction by catalyzing business growth and investment in the developing world. Austin Okere is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria, and serves as a member of the National Telecoms Advisory Council of the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria.
Austin Okere was named ICT Personality of the year 2014 by the Nigerian Computer Society, ICT Man of the Decade by ICT Watch Africa Digital Network in 2012; ICT Personality of the year by Technology Africa in 2010; and most outstanding ICT Personality of the Decade by ICT Watch Africa in 2010. His interests include mentoring and inspiring young people to achieve their full potential.
James Agada – Chief Executive Officer
James Agada is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. James Agada is a highly innovative and versatile technology expert. He holds both a first class degree and a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, with specialization in Digital Systems, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also holds an MBA from the International Graduate School of Management (IESE), Navara, Spain.
James has vast experience in consulting, software development, implementation and support. He was pro tem president, Lagos Chapter of the Nigeria Computer Society, and was conferred with the “Titans of Tech Merit Award” in 2013, by Technology Africa.
Prior to his appointment as the Company’s MD/CEO, James Agada was the Chief Technology Officer of the Company and was also in charge of the Company’s research and development unit. He was also the Executive Director overseeing the Company’s former software division, ExpertEdge.
Kunle Ayodeji – Chief Operating Officer
Kunle Ayodeji is the Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Kunle is a seasoned professional with enormous experience in the fields of banking, financial consulting and private equity. Prior to his joining CWG, Kunle was an Investment Principal with Aureos Capital (“Aureos”) and later became an Associate Director with The Abraaj Group (“Abraaj”), where he was instrumental in the investment of over US$45 million of Abraaj Funds.
Before joining Aureos in 2007, Kunle was a Senior Consultant with KPMG Nigeria where he was involved with the valuation, due diligence and feasibility studies for various corporations and state governments. He also worked with Triumphbank Plc in Lagos, Nigeria. Kunle had been a member of the Board committees of both the Company’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (where he was the pioneer Chairman), as well as the General Purpose Committee, before he joined CWG in March, 2015 as Executive Director, Finance and Operations.
He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and an MBA from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Mrs. Adedoyin Odunfa
Adedoyin is an IT professional with over 20 years in professional practice, focused on enhancing the strategic value of IT in organizations through value-adding interventions across the Information Value Chain.
Adedoyin has Spearheaded many broad-based initiatives with wide spread impact in IT Governance, Risk and Compliance across the public and private sectors of the economy. She is the founder and CEO of Digital Jewel Ltd, a leading professional service firm which is currently the only ISO27001 ( Information Security Management ) certified company in Africa which is also a Qualified Security Assessor (PCI DSS QSA) in Africa
Adedoyin s a recognized leader in the IT Industry and has the following credentials to her name Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Project management Professional (PMP), Certified Cobit 5 Implementer And Assessor. Adedoyin holds a B.sc (Combined Honors) in Computer Science and Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and MBA (Information technology and Management) from the city University Business School (now Cass business School) in UK

Philip Obioha – Non-Executive Director
Phillip Obioha is a Non-Executive Director of the company. Prior to his transition to his current position, he was the Chief Operating Officer of the company. He also led the former Communications division of Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) Plc to become the foremost provider of Wide Area, Metropolitan, and Local area networks to corporate organizations, which made remote banking possible in the Nigerian banking system. Today, the footprints of CWG Plc can be seen in every transaction made at bank locations and other platforms.
Phillip is a fellow of the Institute of Directors. He has more than 20 years of cognitive experience in the Information Technology industry. He was trained as an Electrical Engineer, with specialization in digital electronics at West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia in USA. However, his mastery of financial engineering raises the bar in the realm of business finance. He also holds an MBA from the International Graduate School of Management (IESE), Navara, Spain.
He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineer (IEEE, USA), Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG, corporate) and the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS). He was conferred with the Titans of Tech award by Technology Africa in 2015.
Ravi Sharma – Non-Executive Director
Ravi Sharma is a Non-Executive Director of the Company. He is a Managing Director with The Abraaj Group, with over 10 years’ experience gained in the fields of private banking, investment banking and private equity. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales and has a BSc in Economics & Accounting from the City University, London.
Ravi is responsible for sourcing, structuring, monitoring and exiting investments across various sectors, for the Group. Ravi joined The Abraaj Group in 2001 as a consultant and was a key member of the local team that established the Aureos West Africa Fund LLC (AWAF) in 2003 and subsequently the Aureos Africa Fund LLC (AAF) in 2008. Prior to joining Aureos Nigeria Advisers, Ravi worked for Aureos Ghana Advisers, where he was involved in 11 exits from Ghana Venture Capital Funds (GVCF) portfolio companies.
He has been instrumental to the investment of over US$100million of Abraaj Funds in Nigeria. He was also responsible for the partial divestment from two of the AWAF portfolio companies in Nigeria. Ravi sits on the board of nine Abraaj portfolio companies. His previous experience was gained in private and investment banking with Barclays Private Bank (London) and TAIB Bank (London).
Emmanuel Ijewere – Non-Executive Director
Emmanuel Ijewere is one of Nigeria’s most eminent accountants with very extensive connections across the banking, finance and political spectrums. He has worked closely with President Goodluck Jonathan on the power requirements for the country. Emmanuel started his accounting career in 1965 with Coopers & Lybrand and set up his own firm of Chartered Accountants, Emmanuel Ijewere& Co in 1979.
He has served as President to a number of notable organizations such as, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Nigerian Red Cross Society and Institute of Directors. Over the years, he has garnered immeasurable experience in business and corporate management, particularly from his Chairmanship role in several companies, including Learn Africa Plc, Best Foods Global (Nigeria) Limited, Longman Nigeria PLC, Petra Microfinance Bank, Salus Health Trust Management, CSN Investment Concepts Limited, Drum Resources Nigeria Limited, among others. His National Assignments includes Chairmanships of the Agriculture and Food Security Commission and the Modified Value Added Tax Committee.
He is a member of the National Economic Forum, the International Investment Council and the Technical Committee on the Privatisation of Federal Government Companies and Parastatals. He is the Chairman of FARCOM.
